Aluminum Weight Calculator
Estimate aluminum casting weight from simple dimensions or CAD volume. Select an alloy or enter a custom density to calculate single-part and batch weight.
Formula, density source & assumptions
Weight (kg) = volume (cm³) × density (g/cm³) ÷ 1,000. Total weight = weight per piece × quantity. Dimensions are converted before calculation; 1 in = 25.4 mm and 1 lb = 0.45359237 kg.
Block volume = L × W × H.
Reference densities are alloy-specific. For a different aluminum grade, choose Custom density and use your material supplier’s value.
Selected reference: Eastern Alloys: A380User-supplied density; confirm against your material specification.
Solid-material estimates only. Runners, gates, risers, machining stock, process losses, porosity and packaging are not added automatically. A finished-part CAD volume estimates finished-part weight; a casting-blank volume estimates blank weight.
For irregular castings, use CAD solid volume with holes and cavities excluded. Results are estimates, not a manufacturing quote.
Zinc Weight Calculator
Calculate zinc alloy part weight using a Zamak reference density or your own value. Enter dimensions or CAD volume to estimate weight per piece and total quantity.
Formula, density source & assumptions
Weight (kg) = volume (cm³) × density (g/cm³) ÷ 1,000. Total weight = weight per piece × quantity. Dimensions are converted before calculation; 1 in = 25.4 mm and 1 lb = 0.45359237 kg.
Block volume = L × W × H.
Zinc alloy density differs from pure zinc density. Use the preset matching your specified alloy, or enter a supplier-confirmed density.

Copper Weight Calculator
Estimate copper part weight from dimensions or CAD volume. Use the cast copper reference or enter a custom density for your specified grade.
Formula, density source & assumptions
Weight (kg) = volume (cm³) × density (g/cm³) ÷ 1,000. Total weight = weight per piece × quantity. Dimensions are converted before calculation; 1 in = 25.4 mm and 1 lb = 0.45359237 kg.

C81100 is a cast copper reference. Other copper alloys may have different densities; use the Bronze calculator for the listed bronze grades.

Block volume = L × W × H.
Bronze covers multiple copper-alloy families. C93200 and C95400 have different densities and should not be treated as interchangeable materials.

Cast Iron Weight Calculator
Estimate cast iron part weight using gray iron or ductile iron reference values. Enter dimensions or CAD volume, and adjust the density for your actual grade when available.
Formula, density source & assumptions
Weight (kg) = volume (cm³) × density (g/cm³) ÷ 1,000. Total weight = weight per piece × quantity. Dimensions are converted before calculation; 1 in = 25.4 mm and 1 lb = 0.45359237 kg.
Block volume = L × W × H.
General reference values, not grade specifications: gray iron 0.260 lb/in³ ≈ 7.20 g/cm³; ductile iron 0.255 lb/in³ ≈ 7.06 g/cm³. Actual density varies with grade and structure.
